Business listings: Name, city, state, phone, email, website, services, and certifications — sourced from public directories and owner submissions.

User inquiries: Name, email, phone (optional), and message content when you contact a farrier through our forms.

Account data: Email address for business owners who claim a listing or sign in to the dashboard.

Analytics: Anonymous usage data via cookies (Google Analytics, PostHog) to improve the service.

2. How We Use Information

We use collected information to operate the directory, deliver inquiries to farriers, process subscriptions, send transactional emails, and improve the service. We do not sell personal information.

3. Email Communications

We may send emails related to: claim verification, dashboard sign-in, trial notifications, inquiry forwarding, and directory announcements. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time.

4. Data Retention

Business listing data is retained as long as the listing is active. Account data is retained until the account is deleted. Inquiry data is retained for 2 years.

5. Third-Party Services

We use Stripe for payment processing, Resend for email delivery, Vercel for hosting, and Neon for database hosting. Each has its own privacy policy.

6. Your Rights

You may request correction or deletion of your personal data by emailing hello@searchfarrier.com. Business owners can edit their listing data directly through the dashboard.
